Today I learned there's a whole subreddit dedicated to discussion of the character of Tuvix from that one Star Trek Voyager episode where Tuvok and Neelix got merged by the transporter

I only found this out because /r/DaystromInstitute got overrun with Tuvix posts and the mods had to temporarily ban them. Seems like this is not their first Tuvix rodeo.

Show thread

"When participating in Tuvix conversations be mindful of the fact that Tuvix's fate is one of the most divisive topics in all of Star Trek"

I want the "HAN SHOT FIRST"-style tshirt - "RIP TUVIX"

@fraggle Honestly, I do feel like they could have at least looked back on past transporter accidents and found a way to both restore Neelix and Tuvok AND keep Tuvix among the living.

But that would make sense in a show in which two crew members made lizard babies and then left them to die in an unknown planet. :blobshrug:
