So I put together this bot version of John Bercow the other day and I've been surprised by how well it just works - no quality control was really needed at all. So much of what Bercow says is quotable and every few hours it comes up with something hilarious

botsin.space/@bercowbot

The source content is basically just 100 pages of search results for "Order." downloaded from theyworkforyou.com, massaged with a bit of regexp magic to remove things like truncated sentences.

The lesson is: when Bercow calls order, there's a good chance someone's about to get verbally fucked up

@fraggle
Discussion with UK-associated folks round here has been singing his praises for defending parliament's ability to do their democratic job this week.

@fraggle i was reading that bot for pages and pages and by the end of it i had no idea if it was generating things procedurally or just lifting verbatim quotes!

@carcinopithecus They're all verbatim. Only thing I do is vary the "Order!!!" call at the start randomly

@fraggle not sure how i feel about no longer witnessing the first baby steps of replacing all parliamentary proceedings with neural networks now
