The thing I really enjoy about mastodon is that I don't feel like I am interacting with brands. I used to follow a lot of writers on Twitter and ended up with "Hey let's talk about what I am selling you and little else". It got tedious really quickly

@foox @GinnyMcQueen I think both of you are right. There are plenty of wealthy people that try to make a positive difference, but also those that could care less.

Lobbying congress might be expensive, but guillotines are cheap by comparison. Just something to consider.
