In the past day I've seen multiple very problematic things from women about online abuse.

One was a speech about how because women can't legally be stoned in the street here, the only thing you have to worry about when doing what is right is people saying mean things to you.

Another was a speech about how abusers on the internet are just sad, lonely people and you should just feel sorry for them because you are better than them.

Both of these statements are from rich people.

I would like it it everyone stopped listening to people who don't have to worry about if they are going to be able to eat this week.

I mean this. Obviously the impact of being stalked/harassed/threatened if you don't have money or fame can be catastrophic. Just as the impact of literally anything is wildly different if you don't have the money/resources to handle it.

Rich people are making something that literally kills people sound like a fun hobby. It is not. This shit kills people. It's been killing me for over a year.

Don't listen to people who can afford doctors or know they won't be homeless next month. They don't know what they are talking about.

1. who did this to me?
or
2. why did this happen to me?
the difference between the two questions is the difference between victim (blaming) and self activated hero (empowered person).

It is easier to blame a generic group for things but is it really the cause?

@foox yes it is the cause. People who harassed Ginny out of her job are the reason she doesn’t have a job, you victim blaming weirdo. You’re not helping anyone with this line of thinking, and expressing it to literal actual victims only pisses us off so maybe please never do this again, thanks.

@gerhildt well it is my belief structure that we are all responsible for our own realities - and manifestations - and by changing our mindsets, we change our realities. i am surprised that this concept is new here - especially in such a forward thinking future based crowd.
