There’s so many things I want to learn. All I have to do is pick up a book and start taking notes. But the first step is always the hardest.
I’m still not thrilled with any iOS Mastodon client. Most of the UIs are competent, but all of them are kind of feature-poor. I’d love draft support and scheduled posting.
Competent cable organization remains my nemesis.
Even when I have backups of my machines, when I have to reinstall the OS, I still like starting from scratch with a fresh installation, and only restoring the things I know I need. It just feels better.
I’ve tried a handful of third party keyboards for my 10.5” iPad and every time I just go back to the first party Smart Keyboard. It’s the perfect size, profile, and weight. The only thing it’s missing is backlit keys, but I’m generally fine without that.
I don’t own enough vaporwave. Need to expand my collection.
You guys should post some more jokes about privacy policies. That shit is funny every time. And so topical.
If Apple made physical replicas of its Activity achievement pins, engraved on the back and all, I’d fucking buy them.
I’ve been lucky to catch up on a lot of reading this year. My favorites:
• Roadside Picnic (1971)
• The Gray House (2009)
• Glass House: The 1% Economy and the Shattering of the All-American Town (2017)
• A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century (1978)
Starting a new chapter.
