@nivex A Yaesu FT-60. Dual band and had the advantage of being a good price. We'll see how much I actually use it beyond kerchunking repeaters. ;)

I appear to have just ordered my first handheld #HamRadio. This is kind of a new thing for me. I've been back in the hobby for a few years but I've been strictly HF, nothing higher than 10m. (#MorseCode FTW!)

That said, it'll be good in #JacksonHole, where I don't always have an HF rig.

@Canageek It's not a bad idea, although I do spend an awful lot of time flying between #ISP or #JFK and #BWI, and right now I'm with my girlfriend near #JAC

So the one bad thing about this trip to #JacksonHole is that I didn't have room to bring a #HamRadio with me (I had a couple of boxes of Kind bars and some mathia flour and only a small carry-on).

I should just leave one out here.

I'm good with a bloody mary (true story: most productive workday ever was a morning flight from SEA to JFK, business class. Wifi and bloody marys and nobody could call me because I was on a plane), but we have what we need for mimosas so no going to the store!
