On the bright side, now I have time to go to the beach! The water was cool but refreshing and the beach wasn't too crowded, so it was pretty much perfect.
And I smiled because the groups of college kids on the beach could have been my friends and me, just a few decades later (although kids today have tattoos, which were pretty rare when I was in uni). Nice to see that some things are constant.
End of an era

On the other cheerful side today, I had a #QRP contact (2.5 watts) via #MorseCode with another #HamRadio station 2460 km away. Considering I'm in a valley and the antenna runs down the hallway and wraps around the living room, I'm pretty happy.
