@windmills @starbreaker I'm in my mid-50s at this point, and actually got paid to program on punchcards at one point. (Anyone who wants to talk about "the good old days" never had to deal with that crap. It's SO MUCH BETTER now)

@filkerdave I did some research into how Multics works back in 2015 because the plot of the novel I was writing at the time required that the protagonist penetrate a system with an unfamiliar operating system, and she lived in a setting where Unix and its descendants were ubiquitous.
