Yesterday's excitement was being excused from jury duty for the next 6 years.
@filkerdave How'd you swing 6 years?
@jannamark That's the standard in NY. If you serve (even if you're excused, as I was). It's only 2 years for federal service, though, so I may be back.
I don't actually mind being on a jury but this was for a trial next week and I'm out of town for 3 weeks starting on Monday!
