On the bright side, now I have time to go to the beach! The water was cool but refreshing and the beach wasn't too crowded, so it was pretty much perfect.

And I smiled because the groups of college kids on the beach could have been my friends and me, just a few decades later (although kids today have tattoos, which were pretty rare when I was in uni). Nice to see that some things are constant.
