Cross-posting is marketing for the source platform, so you shouldn't be surprised I don't think Twitter to Mastodon cross-posting is beneficial to Mastodon.
Mastodon is a social network, and talking to each other is a big part of it. If someone has setup a cross-poster and left and never checks their notifications, it's pointless for us who are here.

Reminder: it's okay, even good, to block ads, because it helps devalue your personal data and everybody else's (in a marketing context).
Stories like Cambridge Analytica and Grindr selling HIV status of its users wouldn't have happened unless your data was an extremely valuable way to sell you things.

@MacLemon I disagree, the web interface is perfect for me and probably for most users since it's feature complete, fast, and well supported. If you use the 'add to homescreen' feature it's not distinguishable from a typical native app, other than the lack of notifications (which I personally would turn off if they existed).
