A week on Mastodon is an eternity right now. It's quite amazing to witness thousands of new users making their first toots; seeing follow-bots go through a life-cycle of being released, refined, then blocked; and witnessing toot culture and etiquette emerge in unpredictable and fascinating ways, unique to each instance. Surely this is social media at its best.
