Playing whackamole with the Mastadon search function: search for a hashtag like #sjw or #feminazi, find "toots" (ugh!) that use them unironically, Block, repeat. Feed is thus incrementally improved. In Twitter, this would be like pissing on the surface of the sun to cool it down, but here there's a chance.
(Mastodon, not *Mastadon. The app I use is Mastalab, and an earlier search for "mastodon" ("I'll just google that on Bing" © Stilgherrian) turned up nothing about this platform, so I mistakenly assumed the variant spelling applied.)
