solving my midlife crisis with chocolate
The jacket is coming along well. Hood & sleeves are done, and I found some tribbles to trim the hood. I experimented with pockets & I'll have a go at them again, after I put in the zipper.

I haven't caught up on anything since I got to my brother's place yesterday & connected my N64. It still works! 😃
Good progress on the knitting yesterday. It's no longer destined to be a sweater so much as a jacket, because this yarn is so bulky & I'm using relatively small needles (size 9). The final product will be thick but flexible. I wish I'd thought to plan for pockets, though I think patch pockets will be nice anyway. Today I'll work on the hood & pick up some size 9 circular needles to make the sleeves.

The hoya has buds!! I'm nearly dancing with excitement, because it hasn't bloomed since sometime in 2016. It's been stretching out a few new shoots over the past several weeks, but these buds are a whole 'nother level of greatness 🌺

Many adjustments on the pattern, including needle size (to accommodate gauge), sweater size (to accommodate my body) & changing the pattern from a pullover to a cardigan (to accommodate my preference). And if it all works out, I'll be very visible at night 😅
