@milan I have become so annoyed of this that my thin-skinned reaction is just to nope out of it:
"Hey, you want our newsletter, don't you" *close tab*
"We updated our website" *close tab*
"Hey, do you want to support us?" *close tab*
Giant "we use cookies" warnings and ads (mobile) *close tab*
I probably miss some good stuff but I really ran out of patience.
@encarsia GitHub is generally pretty stagnant, feature-wise. And as a company they could *definitely* benefit from a more developed HR department.
And lastly, MS has accrued much more good will from me over recent years compared to the olden days.
- WSL is cool
- vscode is a great editor; I consider it by far the best "modern" open source editor, and it gets tons of dev
- language server protocol has improved many dev ecosystems
- typescript
So I think they are much more in touch.

How could moderating/curating/white-listing trending tags be better than sorting it out, counterargue or ridicule "unwanted" contents?
This raises so many questions like who will elect the gatekeepers and what are the filter criteria?
If content violates community rules -> delete/warn/ban user but please don't open Pandora's censorship infrastructure box.

I just learned that in Germany June 2nd which happens to be today is "Organ donation" awareness day.
