Finished the cleaning job. Before putting it all together again I think we need some colour here. The grey plastic parts will be spraypainted red and there are some new stickers required also.
I don't plan to mount the ugly fenders but chain protection will be necessary.
But now off to work.
@nobody That won't be necessary, he can already handle a balance bike¹ and they've got trikes in kindergarten.

@encarsia As a simple balance bike, we left the pedals off for a month, then attached them when the kids were ready
