I am reminded of scientific journals preferring cutting-edge articles, whilst silently shunting away more gradual articles focused on replication and following findings up
turns out science needs both, and focusing only on avantgarde iconoclasts (however fell-funded) has unintended detrimental sideeffects on the scientific enterprise as a whole
