I've been trying some new ciders lately. I really like this one called Farm Flor from Graft Cider. It's described as "tart and earthy" on the label.

I ran 10 incredible miles of tough trails with a great group of people this morning. Everyone was positive and respectful, we discussed plans and routes and took care of each other... It was just good.

Here's a photo of #fostercat #2. Her name is Anastasia. She's been with us for about 3 weeks. Before that she'd been living (dumped by owners who moved?) in a parking garage in Manhattan. Basically slowly starving to death. Spouse and I did NOT intend to take in another foster right now but here she is. Eating and sleeping, mostly, and hopefully learning to trust people again.

All I wanted to eat for dinner today was a crapload of roasted broccoli.

Does this mean I'm missing some essential broccoli nutrient that my body is crying out for?

Foster cat update. He loves it when the other cats wash his head. In this photo, Wolsey is doing just that. Unfortunately Wolsey usually gets bored and starts chewing on his ears, and then a small battle ensues.

On a side note, I think being able to see the "big cats" acting perfectly at ease around humans has really helped foster cat get more comfortable with people interactions.
