Seems like I managed to make some DRM proponents think that DRM stands for Digital Restrictions Management. Apparently they're not aware of the original intended meaning.

DRM should (and for me does) stand for Digital Restrictions Management because that much better describes what it actually is about (it's so sad that this even is a real thing...).

@michael yup, I'm not going to tell them anything about it, and hope they'll spread it to their coworkers :P

The media industry companies are pretty good at newspeak-style wording unfortunately.
