@tobascodagama I have photog friends who preferred smugmug way back, but I don't know much more than that.
Interesting news.

hmm let's try going backwards with an #ff
who's all in new york working on things, if you're comfortable saying?
Reverse #ff is a really cool idea.
I'd love to hear from and reverse #ff #dfw and #texoma people, who are comfortable speaking up.

@benhamill I just changed vast swathes of workload by wiggling a few things on a website, which is both πͺ and π¬
I'll be joining some friends for a jazz performance at a coffee shop/cocktail bar tonight in one of the older parts of town. It's nice because it's away from the college nightlife-y places. The area is actually a downtown of a smaller town that was annexed during the first half of the 20th century.
I hope your system is robust in the face of the chaos!
@benhamill Morning!
How does your Friday look, sliding into the weekend?

Every Friday there are bagels in the office. Fridays start out pretty great because a) bagels and b) because of (a), you cross paths and chat with people you don't normally interact with.
Also the stampede to the break room when bagels arrive is amusing.
a koan:
to print "butts" N times
print "butts"
then print "butts" N-1 times
@ajroach42 I should also say that when I was new to programming, printing "haha butts" 1000 times on the machine at the mall was the height of technical achievement. That probably colors my pedagogical notions, and what a new learner might feel is satisfying.
Pico-8 looks fantastically advanced to me.
@ajroach42 Presumably, one does not jump directly in to metaclasses or even, well, classes when one starts with Python as a learning language. Similarly, one need not embrace all the complexity of javascript or web development to make the browser do a little dance or print "haha butts" 1000 times like I would never have done on the display TRS80 at my local Radio Shack.
Pico-8 looks pretty neat; I'm just not familiar with it. It looks like great way to have fun with programming.
@ajroach42 Unfortunately, my experience with this was with an unmotivated learner, and the results were ... unfulfilling for both of us.
We tried Logo and Python; this was around 2005, with a 12 year old, my daughter. Now she's learning Python on her own, and occasionally comes to me with questions, and to say, "I wish I'd let you teach me to program back in the day." π
@ajroach42 I think I do understand. My original response was thinking "out loud" about how I'd help a young person into the activity of using a programming language to do fun and cool things today...
