Dinner tonight was toasted cheese sandwiches and tomato soup.
Yes, I live in the Midwest, why do you ask?
@pzmyers Where do you stand on the question of cinnamon rolls as a companion to chili?
@czmilosz @emdeesee This is the American Midwest. You cannot go too far.

Perhaps you would like vomit in your jello.

Now I'm worried that I've single-handedly driven all of the French off Mastodon.
@pzmyers Naw, they've just muted you. ;)
@Euphoria Probably shuddered and closed their eyes while they were doing it, too.
I don't eat that stuff myself. It's our regional shame.
@pzmyers Or they didn't realize that it was food at all. :)
@pzmyers Ew, no. I don't even want /jello/ in my /jello/. Gelatin comes from hooves. I think I'll pass, thanks.
@emdeesee Ewww.
Everyone know it's cornbread or corn tortillas with chili.
@pzmyers You might think so. Chili and cinnamon rolls is a thing served for lunch at public schools in Nebraska and neighboring states. I have adult friends who grew up with it, and still enjoy, even crave, it.
I didn't grow up with it, but I've had it. It's not bad: a little sweet, a little hot. Interesting contrasts. A local fast food chain even puts it on the menu.
@emdeesee @pzmyers how far is too far for things in Jello? Is pineapple ok? What about ham cubes?
