One of my cats, Riker, had jumped up to say hi and get some pets, but once he saw what was on the TV the little asshole walked away and made himself comfortable. lol

Also I have a court case # for my name change and I keep checking my local city's court case search tool to see if my petition's been assigned to a judge yet.

The name I grew up with was Stuart Adam. I was named after my Papaw and named after the Biblical "first man". (Being my mom's first and only child, a son.)

I've elected to keep my Papaw's name but move it in the secondary spot. So now my name is gonna be Tamitha Stuart.

What tickles me so much is any paperwork I've signed "Stuart ___" will technically still be valid. Stuart will still be a legal part of my name.

There's a certain beauty in what I've decided to change my legal name to. My wife helped me figure it out.

Whether it was the friendship between families or the time, my mom and dad ended up being assigned both masculine and feminine names at birth.

As I change, I decided to honor them by doing the same thing -- as before both my names were masculine.

(My dad's name is Ricky Lynn, my mom's was Dawn Keith.)

So I couldn't wait. I left work early and ran downtown to officially submit my petition to change my legal name.

I've got the receipt, and a court case # but have no idea when it'll be presented before a judge for signing.

I was told to expect the certified and attested paperwork in the mail in about 2 weeks. Ahhh hurry upppppppp

Today I filled out a petition for name change and got it notarized.

I'm anxious to get downtown and get this petition filed!

I'm pretty hardcore looking into when election days are in Kentucky over the next couple of years, because I really don't want to miss any of them. lol

Very frustrated today, and not sure why. Trying not to take it out on anyone... but it's tricky.

It would be best if I could just keep by myself for a bit, but that's hard to do at work...

Please legalize this option for my wife's chronic pain management. Let her do it under a medical professional's supervision. Let insurance help shoulder the burden of cost. Make it a safe option, study the effects on people, tax the production and sale and use that money to improve our schools and roads.

The one suggestion for pain management has been medicinal use of marijuana, or cannabis hemp oil. Well, marijuana is illegal and the underground market unregulated, putting two sources of fear into us regarding trying that angle. CBD (or cannabis hemp oil) isn't covered by insurance and the prices vary wildly.

She's 33. Previous to this disability she was a workaholic. She earned more hourly than I do now. Being unable to work, being unable to do the daily tasks she used to do so easily -- being unable to even go to a grocery store by herself... she's been suicidal several times, and every day is a struggle for her... and for me, seeing her this way.

My wife suffers from Fibromyalgia and takes Norco, an opiate, up to 4 times a day. It causes her to lose time, leaves her fatigued, gives her severe constipation, and worse yet, doesn't completely manage her pain. She lives in fear of being addicted to Norco, but attempts to wean off it makes her pain unbearable. She's largely unable to leave the bed, nevermind our apartment.

Louisville is surveying citizens on if we should legalize medical marijuana. I've voted yes on the survey, and in a comments field wrote a small novel explaining myself.

The relative I communicate with solely via Snapchat posted a snap of a cast on her lower leg, covering ankle & foot.

I text-replied asking what happened. I also snapped her, asking what happened.

A day an a half later, she's updated her Snap story again, but my messages are unopened. (Before this, a message from several WEEKS ago was stuck in "delivered" status.)

I've deleted my Snap account. No reason to keep it if the one person I kept it for has stopped acknowledging me.

Does anyone else agonize over choosing wallpaper for their phone's lock screen or launcher?

I want something cute or cool, something that fits with the clock or widgets... I can't just apply /whatever/.

I do the same thing with my avatars on game platforms or social media. I mean we're almost to spring and my avatar here is still a fall one!

Why is this so hard for me? lol
