I wish Mastodon had a "quote tweet" like feature. It can be useful for framing certain information.

Starting the process of "deleting" my Facebook account. I'm sure nothing will be really deleted, but at leas I won't directly feed that criminal beast any more of my data for free.

I have a grant proposal due in 2 days and I cannot stop looking at the utter shit storm that is US news.

COVA in NoVA! In Falls Church for the winter meeting of the Council of Virginia Archaeologists.

The NRA seems to delight in inciting stochastic right-wing violence, together with making the means for such violence readily accessible.

But what is the point? Most of us non-extreme-right people are angry and super motivated to vote. Does the NRA think that our votes won't matter?

What's happening?

On average, we have a school shooting every 2.5 days. That means about 105 more school shootings until the Nov. election.

I want to vomit.

How many more children will get murdered at school by right-wing fanatics before we get a chance to vote the Republican party into oblivion?

I'm also not a totally awesome programmer. I'd much rather use someone else's code than my own, since I'm sure someone else would do it better.

I'm wondering if it would just be easier to port that code into Python. I expect the need to fix GeoJSON again in the future, so this will come up again. Sadly, I'm not well versed in Node.js enough to really understand how the geojson-rewind code works.
