Getting very fed up with no longer being able to publicly reply to people on Twitter. I hope it's not true of Mastodon as well.
@rauschma Yes, that's the workaround but feels like the wrong semantics as it seems to give a bit much prominence to the original tweet. Does at least let it be seen in place, of course.
@rauschma Also, I'm not clear how/if it shows on the original tweet's thread.
@edavies The new rules are easier to learn for newcomers though. Even experienced users get .@ wrong.
