@dumpling just think, if someone could type in your name and find you then you might have more LOL but instead they get some guided never ever tootsπŸ˜‚

@Massagemichael
Then I'd feel pressured to make toots that people would actually want to read 😝

@Massagemichael
Wonder if that's a Switter-specific feature... Here and on the other instances I've tried, it pretty much works for all federated instances...

@dumpling @Massagemichael Yeah, I can search people by name on Mastodon as well as Pleroma instances ... it might be different for Switter's mastodon implementation.

@sina @dumpling The issue we found is when responding to someone. When you view this toot it says (@)dumpling but if you type that then it will go to somebody who has that name in switter, not to her. So you can actually only use a response option not type it, unless you type it (@)octogon. And with you I would have to add pleroma.cutie.space at the end because (@)sina would go somewhere else

@Massagemichael @dumpling On Cybre.Space and here, I can just typ @<user> and have it show all of the known accounts with that name in it. :) To be specific, you can definitely do @<user>@<domain>

I use both formats regularly. :3

@sina @dumpling yeah, I figured all this out a couple weeks ago. It was a little confusing at first

@dumpling The crossover thing is kind of cool. But if you decide you want to be somewhere it does make sense that you make your own profile for that "somewhere".

@dumpling Ding ding!

It's because you're wonderful <3
