Yep, but I can't use ublock on my phone and my old option of simply editing the firewall rules requires root, which I stopped doing awhile back 😐

@dumpling Adblock Plus is garbage. Install Fdroid and use that to install Blokada.

@starbreaker Thanks, checking that out too. I think the last time I looked into this was before there were any other significant entrants, and Adblock hadn't yet started doing the 'allow acceptable ads' thing.

@dumpling @starbreaker I mean, if you install it from the google play store, that alone is a huge analytics sink. A lot of applications (especially desktop -- looking at you, electron apps) also use google analytics baked in. :/

@dumpling Most websites are full of spyware because website operators have this irrational need to know how much traffic their sites are getting and where its coming from. The worst offenders are usually full of ads.

You won't see me doing any of that shit on MY website.

@starbreaker Yeah, I always browse with Noscript and ublock or the equivalents, but they always get borked on Android :(
