It's official: we removed all the .ma and .mb files from the project. Thanks to somebody from the unitydevs slack who provided some baseline MEL code for me to work with.

Now you don't need to install a rando version of Maya to run our game in editor. This is a massive relief.

Also I'm sorry for all the times I bagged on Perl, MEL is so much worse.

My only beef is a technical one: some of the links take forever to load (opening the Menu is painful). What are twine mobile builds doing that cause this?

I found a spot in some very old but very important powerup movement the code that depends on 1/0 being 'Infinity' and it's very upsetting

You can kind of infer how 's frame debugger works if you hit situations like this, I'm guessing it saves render textures for each render group?

The inspector is also labeled "Control Child Size" while the property's named "childControlHeight/Width".

what do you think? have you played with these new properties yet? (I think they were added in 5.5)

but now this is fixed, and the new stuff I'm adding seems to be working :rainbow:

ui programming Show more

I considered adding "CW: ui programming" to that one

Somehow the scroller handle in our leaderboard UI got some of its rectTransform properties set to NaN, which makes it eat all the pointer raycasts which should go to other buttons. Add it to the checklist for debugging unresponsive buttons!
