I'm kind of glad. I never liked Unity anyway, and hopefully they will focus all their time on GNOME3 development now. Maybe we'll see Mir get dropped in favor of Wayland as well?

@donhodges Meh, I doubt that. I'd gather that Canonical finally realized another DE just wasn't worth it anymore, and the idea of convergence was never going to happen.
Better to focus on existing codebases like GNOME or KDE and make them better.
