I was browsing a Peertube instance earlier and stumbled upon a copy of The Internet's Own Boy, a documentary about Aaron Swartz.
I haven't seen it before so I decided to give it a watch.
By the end of it I was in tears, I don't think I've seen anything in a while that made me cry like that.
Also, I had no idea he co-authored the RSS 1.0 specification, wow.

@elomatreb @natecull @troubleMoney Two points: 1 - vast majority of English is borrowed, mainly from Latin http://www.dictionary.com/e/word-origins/
2 - We appropriate a lot of other things, traditionally through colonization. It *should* have a negative connotation (imho)

@Chocobozzz I just want to be able to filter the videos out by language - if the audio is non-english and there is no closed caption in English, I don't need to see the video

@nigeldgreen @kevinbeynon yeah, I'm on a bit of a CLI-binge right now. I'm not really sure why exactly. Tasks, ebook server, zsh, kakoune (text editor), sc-im (spreadsheets) - all inside a Quake-style dropdown using Tilix...
@nigeldgreen I switched to KDE, although I don't remember crashes w/ Gnome. Mainly just prefer a few differences.
