Hi @enkiv2 ! Do you know of any hypertext projects that do links/formatting as an overlay, separate from content, like you describe in items 3 and 4 in "Guidelines for future hypertext systems"?
I've been messing around, trying to come up with a simple format for such a thing, but I'm unhappy with what I've come up with so far, and am looking for inspiration. Thanks!
Hiya @cwebber - I'm hoping maybe you can help me with a Racket question that I'm having trouble finding an answer to:
Does racket/gui use each respective platforms' native gui tools? (I found that it uses GTK on "Unix", but I'm not sure about Windows and OSX.) If not, how well does it do with regards to accessibility?

One way to help clarify common understanding of software vs. services is just by adding "service" to taglines when we talk about commonly used services.
If "search engine service" and "social networking service" were used in popular discourse instead of "search engine" and "social network", a lot of people would have a clearer understanding of *what these tech companies are*. Small changes in language can be really powerful in preventing service providers from controlling the narrative.
Humans, in one form or another, have been on Earth for maybe 2.5 million years. The Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years away.
Under dark, clear skies, you can see the Andromeda galaxy with your own two eyes. If you do, you’ll be looking at light which has been travelling through space for roughly as long as our genus has existed on this planet.

@pushcx I noticed you submitted some Julia lang stories on lobste.rs - out of curiosity, are you using Julia for anything?
@technomancy do you think a smallish website with Fennel on OpenResty is an okay way to get started with lisp/emacs? I've done a little bit with OpenResty/Lua/Lapis, so I wouldn't be completely in the dark on that part.
