Surprised by Falkin's offer of a better room, Kanéko gets a chance to enjoy a hot bath. Then she is surprised by another dalpre, a cat woman named Virsian.

Writing via TDD is occasionally slow, but it also feels like I'm trying to write a solid base for the rest of the code. Since I've failed so often to write #AuthorIntrusion, this approach "feels" better to me.

Now, I don't do BDD, I do a lot of TDD testing on SRPd internals.

The plugins will have also a "select", so looking at the first word of every paragraph in a file would be:

scope: content
select: //para/word[position()=1]

To look at previous chapters, you would just change scope from "content" to "project".

I'm still planning on making the XSLT functions DI, so I can later write a function like `soundex()` that would let me compare like-sounding words that are too close to each other.

Well, end of a lunch hour of coding. I the basic scope operations working via TDD. This lets me say "only do this analysis on content" or "look at only the first word of each paragraph". It uses either a keyword (content, lookup, project) or XPath.

To the first word would be `/file[is-content()/para/word[position()=1]`. You wouldn't actually use that, but you could analyze each paragraph separately (`/file[is-content()/para`).

Oh, last night I tried out #lutris. Fairly nice, took me a bit to figure out which checkbox to use, but it installed and played smoothly on my laptop.

I should consider finally getting an emulator and see if the boys can handle easier games like Mario or Zelda with a controller.

My youngest (4) has tendency to walk into a wall, giggling, and yelling "no thank you" when I offer to help.

#Blender is my favorite 3D modeling tool, but sadly I haven't developed a talent for doing anything with it.

I have had fun making vampire squids for an aborted game with it though.

Right now, my tool set is: Inkscape, Gimp, Krita, Atom, and Blender.

I just saw the Blender post about YouTube pulling links (https://www.blender.org/media-exposure/youtube-blocks-blender-videos-worldwide/).

They must have hit the magical point where they are so divorced from the community that they only see numbers.

I don't like companies that fuck over open source communities though. I'm glad they are trying #peertube.

Imagine that, companies are not our friends.

I'll admit, I don't have hopes of getting past certain milestones on this iteration of AI. I think I've written and rewritten this at least nine times over the last eight years, each time find a new and interesting way it failed.

I have hopes it will finally get to be usable and extendable, but it also means I have to not get distracted for another 1-2 months. Otherwise I'll lose it and end up starting over again.

Getting to a point where others can ooh and aah over it helps.

Most of these plugins will have a "scope" which says how to break up the code. The default will be "content" which is actually `//file[has-class('content']` to only analyze chapters.

So, the echo plugins would only process per chapter.

If one used `/project` for the scope, then the echo would consider the last paragraphs of the previous chapter instead of only per-file checking.

This will also let the frequency plugins look for overuse of a word per file or per project.

And the final bit of coding today. I started working on the XPath-based splitter. This is what is going to break apart a chapter into paragraphs, lines, and tokens/words.

That way, an echo plugin can search for `//token[length() > 3]` to get all tokens over three characters long.

`//para//token[index() = 1]` for the first word of every paragraph. I want to use that to make sure no paragraph starts with the same word.

I figured I'm 2-4 days from seeing if this POC works.

I find it interesting trying to get a typesafe collection of objects. For AI, I wanted to have each plugin be able to define its own properties.

I got that working this evening, which means I'm closer to producing something usable.

It also can pull out YAML metadata from the Markdown files, which is something I use rather heavily in my own writing.

So, not much work done because of picking up a kid, but I got some AI work done. Right now, it handles loading typesafe settings from the project YAML file and running plugins against files as they are loaded.
