One of the reasons I'm using my lunch hour to document novels is the occasional lament of authors of "what was this character doing" or "did they actually show up"? Things like eye color, outfits, and catch phrases can be hard to remember over the 5-6 years to write a series.
The idea is to take the energy now and give me a list where someone is present or even referenced by another character. Same with locations, organizations, novels, poems, etc. Basically, everything with a name.
I also have it aggregated across the entire novel (this is a WIP, so it's a short list) so I have a list of things I have to write up, also to do my analysis.
Productive lunch already. I've added a list of topics and links at the bottom of the chapters on https://fedran.com/. This is because I've had a bunch of requests of "who is this person" and "I want to read more" from my readers.

Lily's birthday has come and she had the perfect present already ready for her, Mindil and Hasan and Kendrick. All of them were willing to play and celebrated their accomplishments.

Well, I think I know why my code is slow. :)
It is slow and not very graceful, but I got Author Intrusion to actually report echo words in my test chapter. For me, it's a "black triangle" moment because it proves out the basic CSS-based selectors and scoping, reporting errors up to the check command, and showing it.
