I have a problem with dependencies. I'm thinking about my #NaNoGenMo entry this year and then I realized maybe I should create a world-generator first.
If I create a world generator, maybe I should create a language generator.
Since I think in packages and libraries, I have a tendency to recurse into "stop this and work on the dependency".
@abbenm No, but I am trying to create a world generator that builds everything up from magma flow. That's my self-bribe for finishing the next two novels.
@dmoonfire world building or storytelling? Most good stories have interesting worlds, but they usually evolved as the story progress. I am fighting that that trap trying to run D&D. I have a story to tell but the details of the world are also compelling to me, but not so much to the players.
@bil Yeah, you know me, I suffer from world-building obsession. One reason I view Chekhov's Gun as a good guideline, only build stuff that actually shows up in the plot.
@dmoonfire at least you don't feel compelled to make an operating system generator, or logic architecture generator. Or universe-where-chemistry-is-possible generator. Maybe, in a way, you're quite disciplined!
