#mficchat One of the things that #fantasy world-building rarely has is functional magic. Usually you have fireballs, lighting bolts, and earth-shattering magic. Rarely do folks have the ability to grow plants, write text, or heat a pot.

I decided that the bulk of magic in Fedran is on that level. Many of the fighters have "useless" magic (specially on Sinmak's crew since he won't hire *anyone* with combat magic because it makes them stupid).
