Hedgehog update: Apparently he has been seen around my pro-gardening neighbour's plot. She has a compost and probably snails and earthworms.
I'll raise you 2 composts, earthworms and a feeding station.

I was planting the last few plants in the garden when I came 2 inches from running the spade through a hibernating hedgehog! Don't know who was most startled! The little guy wasn't hit, he moved when I checked on him, so I planted my bush, put the soil and leaves back on top of him and moved off.

Weather warning for rain amounts, temperature dropping. That's when the heater decides to sulk and just sit there.
We got through the weekend by using the fire place and tea lights.
