Uh... The same toot is showing up in my Home scroll every time someone I follow boosts it? I hope that's not intentional. I can't imagine that's going to scale well. I don't want the same thing in my Home scroll 100 times...?

@emdeesee Strikes me as something that needs to be fixed if Home scroll is going to be usable. I actually want to read my whole Home scroll, which will be impossible if 10,000 copies of the same toot are in it.
@deafferret I think it's part of how the backend works. Every time someone boosts a post, it spawns a separate protocol notification. "User X boosted this." That ends up as an entry in your home screen because it's fundamentally just a list of protocol messages in the order they came in with little processing
@deafferret I noticed that too. Seems like a feature request that needs to happen. Twitter was this way too for a short time.

I don't have a strong feeling about it though, except to observe that it accurately reflects the attention the toot is getting.
