@daveskull81 I've been baptized by the Toot.
As someone who tried out Diaspora, App.net, and Ello I am hopeful. But, I am also wary. I hope that this place can be different. Each of those started out great, but had their eventual problems. The open source nature of Mastodon does give me hope.
So first rule of mastodon is get all the toot jokes out of your system right? right.
Twitter has really messed with me. I'm posting short bursts on here when I don't have to if I don't want. Having the 500 characters makes it easy to express a thought in a single post.
What if we refer to each other as rootintooters?
All of these toot jokes reminds me of every time I see one of those social boards that displays the posts from a hashtag and how I just want to fill it with poop jokes.
So, I'm watching baseball and tooting in my living room. Sounds like a normal weekday night to me.
I know it doesn't work, but I'm already fond of the phrase "shit-tooting".
Now I need to start thinking about Mastodon bots to build. Ones that post fart and train emojis of course. Is there a public api?
We need Mastodon to take off purely for the image of awkward newscasters doing stories about toots
