I have no evidence to even suggest corruption. So far, incompetence/ignorance alone seems to be able to explain everything.
On which I have this paraphrase to say: it's difficult to make somebody understand something when his interest is in not understanding it.
I'm no journo, but I'm keeping my eyes open and trying to bring this worrying precedent to the attention of other EU countries.
