Do you know of any #choral works for a #melancholy heart like mine? Something like the German Requiem by Brahms or Vespers (All Night Vigil) by Rachmaninov? Something to instill some spirituality in my hardened little atheist heart? I didn’t find Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis but it didn’t touch me. Should I give it another try? @kensanata no chorals, but take a look at Max Richter's neoclassical Œuvre (e.g. his Blue Notebooks for a start), which is quite suitable for rmelacholy.
As for the real classics, Händel or Telemann should do finde, but they are more cheerful most of the time.
As for the hardened atheist heart that's fine as it is, IMHO.
