The way Cloudflare handled switter.at's suspensions sounds like someone high up in Legal or even a C-level exec pressed the panic button, the "Get this stuff off our service immediately" and that overrode any customer service concerns about suspending a customer with no prior notice.

You would think Cloudflare would consider fighting any sort of legal action against Switter because it would give them good PR.

But from a business risk analysis perspective it is less costly to terminate Switter now and take the PR hit than fight a prolonged legal battle with the US government in the future.

No US hosting company is going to want to do business with Switter, small or big. It's simply too risky for them.
