Dang, I really wanna play a roguelike. But I've still got like 1.5 months of self-imposed roguelike-ban.

Guess it's time for more M-x tetris.

@cwebber That leads to two questions:

1: Why the self-imposed ban?

2: Just how terrible is the Emacs version of Tetris, anyway?

@not_on_pizza 1) because I become *obsessed* with roguelikes, and it eats up a lot of time, time I don't really have right now.
2) Emacs tetris is pretty good/playable! Only one bug annoys me; you can't rotate a piece immediately sometimes. It's otherwise a pretty solid tetris implementation.

@not_on_pizza Fun fact: first free software bug I ever fixed was in GNU Emacs' tetris. I was playing it a lot when slacking instead of studying. I discovered you could still move, rotate, place a piece while paused without it descending. I excitedly submitted a patch, couldn't believe it hadn't been caught that long!

RMS' response:

"If you cheat at solitaire, who are you cheating? ;-).

Anyway, thanks for fixing it."

@not_on_pizza Also OMG it's been about a decade since my first patch! I should throw a party.

@cwebber @not_on_pizza Playing Emacs tetris a lot when I should be studying, been there.

But that was my favorite Emacs tetris bug! You are the villain of my life! :D
