Well, got fully absorbed into Animal Crossing this weekend with @mlemweb. Honestly, felt like the vacation we really needed. Really, seriously. Building out our town and decorating our houses and relaxing. We had my siblings and my childhood best friend and we were all on the phone and checking out each others' islands. Felt very social, all considering.
I continue to wonder whether or not Nintendo made COVID-19, since they made the perfect game for this moment. /s
Tonight all my family members are doing a celebration where we tour each others' museums and do a virtual gathering in-game and over the phone.
Our IRL family vacation got canceled due to COVID-19, but it honestly has felt like a reconnect all considering. We've also been sending each other letters and gifts every day.
I aspire to make a social system that feels so fun and directly engaging.
re: Animal Crossing
At least I'm moderately used to walking away and focusing on my computer given Distractions Abound, and AC is still a giant temptation, but I bet AC coming out right now is extra, extra hard for people also WFH for the first time ever.
