@nightpool @cwebber i'm fairly sure many irc clients allow you to hide join/part/quit messages. i set my quassel's default channel settings to hide all those kinds of messages...

matrix is bad for a list of reasons

@nightpool @cwebber I mean... hide > rollup IMO, because the rollup is so hard to read as to be useless (plus it removes timestamps), and if you don't care about the info then why show it at all
