Okay, I'm starting a series of accidental erotica posts - send in your candidates, a few sentences or so that, removed from its original context, sound much dirtier than they were intended.

Well, Aaron Persky's recall election may be decided by the time you read this,
but it's worth understanding why he's being thrown off the bench (hopefully)
and why his argument that his opponents are calling for judicial decisions be made according to media coverage is not merely a straw man,
but hides the fact that he unethically called for Brock Turner's sentence to be reduced because of media coverage in the first place.

Switzerland's private money managers are giving money to people who kill their spouses because Swiss law doesn't require central reporting of domestic violence killings. An RTS article cites pension funds, but the problem exists with insurance companies and some banks as well.
Capitalism vs. Socialism is an old fight, but curiously Al Jazeera doesn't see it as particularly relevant to Venezuela's ongoing troubles, at least on the national level. Instead, they believe that certain aspects of Venezuelan culture combine badly with an economy founded on a single, internationally-traded commodity (oil).
