I agree that tech is "too powerful", although for different reasons. Monopolies should not take power from elected governments.

Monopolistic brands are not the same thing as "tech companies". G.A.F.A.M. are not technologies; they're brands. They're destroying the economic environment in which actual tech companies can exist.

@matt Totally agree, but years of deregulation have created this mess. And yes, the "tech companies" was my own eliding of the article title.
