Wishing more creative folks would do their marketing and what-not off of their main site rather than their social media accounts.

Put a different way: If the news on your website is over one year old, and your social media has all of the bits in-between then I'd ask you to please consider filling in those missing bits on your website.

@craigmaloney Yup; this is the best way to do it.

Source: I have been doing web marketing in a professional capacity for over 10 years.

@craigmaloney I guess removing the news section from their website and instead linking to a social media account might be a less good solution, but at least better than the website looking abandoned.

Creative people's websites

@craigmaloney Working on a new website using ssg4 by @romanzolotarev. Trying to strip away the cruft, especially on the front page, and focus on what's important. :)…

@jskellogg Yes, social media can be a lever to get folks to the site, but my frustration is following creators that I know are more active on social media and finding their news sites only having two posts.

So like, if I post about stuff but also my site is updated whenever there's news, then I'm good?

I ask because I don't know what I'm doing halp
