Plus when people I used to be connected with when I used Facebook want to get on touch that seems to be the place they look first for some reason!

@craigmaloney The only "good" thing out of it that I can think of, is that whenever I get an invitation, I know which colleague of mine uploaded their address book. This has all kinds of benefits. For some values of benefit, of course.

It mostly boils down to having a better idea how security-conscious one's colleagues are.

I'm just about to start a new job that came from LinkedIn. I changed a setting to say I was looking for work and got loads of decent roles sent through to me from recruiters. Had a choice of two decent jobs in the end without really having to do any searching myself.
