@kingu_platypus_gidora sorry for sounding like a stupid american (i am) but i'm watching a show and they're playing petanque (sp?) it sort of reminds me of shuffleboard here in america. is it
@churley79 There is a little ball (called "Le cochonet` - it means piglet)
Each player have bigger ball and must throw them as close as possible to the cochonet.
The closest win.
It is a very simple game but it is kind of fun.
@kingu_platypus_gidora there is a game similar to that here in the US. i think it's mainly played in the northern US. I live in NC and I never heard about it until a few years back. i thin it's called bocce ball or something. aren't they similar?
@churley79
I guess experts will disagree, but as far as we are concerned, it is more or less the same thing
@churley79 I never asume that stupidity is related to a nationality :)
Petanque and Shuffleboard have a lot of similarities but they are different games.
Petanques is mostly played in southern France.
Where i live (Quebec) it is not very popular although some parks have areas specifically to play it.
@kingu_platypus_gidora is it a popular game? (sorry i accidentally sent the last message prematurely).
