Some Good Free Advice:
1: Straight up email people further along the path you're on. The people worth listening to won't care that you're some nobody (and they won't see you that way).
2: Increase your luck surface area. The more you have out there, the more people will find you. You can't predict the hits, but you can systematize your work so your output is consistent and high quality. For example, I have a paper list of chord progressions I use and check off when I start a song.

BitmapImage and Image in WPF are really bad. Like holy hell. Caching doesn't work for HTTPS afaik and image downloading is unreliable af.

I'm quite eager for Mastodon 2.4.0 to release with an API point for getting direct messages. I've been wanting to integrate it into my app for a while.

Some advice
In theory I could work on a native Mastodon app on macOS like Tweetbot but I'm not sure I wanna touch that crusty old App dot net client I wrote.
I really don't know enough JavaScript to even begin to work on an Electron app and it just feels like a better use of time to learn native APIs on a platform.
I still think native applications have a leg up over everything else at how much they can do. Well, that and I'm just a fan of native applications and I love learning new APIs.
Goal: Make Capella so irresistibly good and convenient over the web app that people wanna help me work on it with Patreon. (It would help tremendously)
I work so much on this Mastodon app for Windows I wish I could be paid. I thought about opening a Patreon but I don't think enough people use it and I haven't released a new build yet over the old maintainer. :\

I really do need to release something but I feel so bad about releasing buggy code that I am reluctant to do anything. I just want to make this app the best Mastodon app there is. I'm a fan of Tweetbot on macOS and I'm aiming for the stars with my work. I want my app to be irresistable.
Started adding system tray icon support so that it's easy to keep Capella open all the time and still get notifications.
