I just booted ternary into the OVH rescue environment and started a shred from it
i'm gonna let this run until the server expires
the OVH rescue environment is a really cool thing
it will boot into it automatically if it detects problems, and it sends you the randomly-generated authentication information in an email
if you have an SSH key on your account, it automatically sets that up instead
@unascribed yeah ive recovered a few servers with it and its a lot nicer than the weird ubuntu recovery environment my current provider uses
